Unlike 3D, linear or electrostatic ion trap systems, Waters Tof mass spectrometers have no charge-capacity limitations, so the high dynamic range of the QuanTof detector can be used to maximum effect, accurately recording very intense and very weak signals regardless of overall TIC. At the same time, the QuanTof detector maintains instrument resolving power across the full dynamic range.
