CID and ETD Fragmentation Capabilities

The dual collision cell arrangement of TriWave enhances MS/MS possibilities, by providing Collision Induced Dissociation (CID) and/or Electron Transfer Dissociation (ETD) fragmentation with high resolution and accurate mass measurements. Our affordable ETD option is engineered for the highest performance (fragmentation efficiency) and flexibility with ease-of-use and ease-of-maintenance.

The resolving quadrupole is available in 4KDa, 8KDa or 32KDa mass range options for MS/MS of small to macromolecular species.

Wide range of experimental options

Waters’ ion source architecture interfaces with a huge range of techniques, from separation with UPLC, nanoUPLC, HDX Automation, APGC and UPC2 to ionisation with ESI, APCI, ASAP, DESI, DART and LDTD. They are quickly interchangeable and ready to use within minutes. For direct analysis methods, upgrade to HDMS capability and T-Wave IMS technology which provides the highest post-ionisation selectivity and specificity. This is particularly advantageous when combined with the high performance MALDI option, which can be rapidly switched with atmospheric pressure ion sources.
