Quantify How Much is in Your Sample
Whether you are developing agrochemicals, cosmetics, consumer products, personal care or fine and speciality chemicals, you need to quantify exactly how much of your compound of interest is present in your sample. The versatile Xevo portfolio of mass spectrometry systems allows you to create customizable and versatile testing environments whether you work in a centralized core facility, where customer needs change every day, or in a dedicated specialist laboratory running multiple parallel analysis. |

Trace Detection of Agrochemicals
Trace-level analysis in complex biological and environmental matrices is key to supporting both pre and post product registration activities of new agrochemical products. The compact, high-performance Xevo TQ-XS tandem quadrupole mass spectrometer detects target compounds at trace level concentrations, so samples can be diluted to reduce matrix effects, also allowing the use of smaller sample volumes, so regulatory limits can be met. Quantify all the metabolites in your sample, and accurately determine the potential toxicological and environmental impact. The Xevo G2-XS QTof analyzes the broadest range of compounds in the most complex samples, helping to reduce the time taken to register a new agrochemical ingredient. |

Consumer Product Safety Testing
Nitrosamines can potentially be formed in consumer products, cosmetics and personal care formulations, either during manufacture or product storage. To meet the stringent regulatory requirements of the cosmetics industry, they must be quantified below the regulatory limit of 50 μg/kg. Increased levels of N-nitrosamines have been identified in products over 5 years old. A direct LC-MS method using a Waters system including the ACQUITY UPLC I-Class with Xevo TQ-S micro, can be used to quantify N-nitrosamines in consumer products below the regulatory limit of 50 μg/kg. This approach offers increased sample throughput and reduced run times and solvent usage. |

Characterizing Botanical Extracts in Cosmetics
The use of botanical extracts in cosmetics is challenging due to variability in natural materials. Instrumentation that can analyze a wide range of samples, with a wide range of analytes in each sample is imperative to quantifying and qualifying these compounds. The Xevo TQD provides easy access to UPLC-MS/MS, maximizes sample throughput, accommodates a wide range of samples and performs trace level analyses. This allows integration into QC processes to make sure you stay within regulatory limits and also to ensure final production information is accurate – a critical step in customer order fulfilment. |
