Whether you are using our Empower Chromatography Data System (CDS) or Empower Lab Management System (LMS), if your software is covered under a Waters Software Maintenance Plan, you are entitled to the latest version of software* and documentation.
With a few simple steps, you can view and obtain all software available to your organization, and receive notifications when there is a new release posted for your team, with the Waters Digital Software Delivery and License Entitlement platform.

If your Empower Software is covered with a Waters Software Maintenance Plan, you are entitled to download the latest version of software. We offer online tools to assist you with determining what is needed for your upgrade. You will be guided through a series of questions about your current configuration in our online tool to assure that you receive the software, options, and licenses needed for your upgrade.
Don’t forget to complete the registration process for each standalone or network product that is covered under your Waters Software Maintenance Plan.

Make sure you have all the licenses you need for a successful upgrade
Empower Software now offers comprehensive license control capabilities to connect third-party instruments. A third-party instrument requires an Instrument Control License (ICL) for use in Empower Software. Your organization may be eligible for complimentary third-party ICL. Click here to view the specific information on this program, the proof required, and part numbers.
Once you are ready, proceed to the Online Upgrade Request Tool to begin the upgrade process.

An active Waters Software Maintenance Plan helps you avoid the risk of obsolete software and ensures your organization will have access to all the current software features and fixes. In addition to being a cost-effective protection plan for your Empower Software, Waters Software Maintenance Plans also provide access to Remote Technical Support Services from our expert Waters Support Specialists during normal office hours.

*Any costs associated with requalification, validation, operating system upgrades, and database backup drives will NOT be covered by Waters as part of your Software Maintenance and Support Plan. Also, Empower Enterprise software upgrades are not customer installable. On-site installation services for Empower upgrades are available for an additional fee, and can be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time.
