XBridge Premier Columns
Particle Stability with MaxPeak HPS Protection
Working at the extremes of temperature and pH while maximizing analyte peak shape is a significant challenge for methods development scientists. Now, with XBridge Premier 2.5 µm and 3.5 µm Columns, it doesn’t have to be.
XBridge Premier Columns prevent undesired analyte/surface interactions through the power of MaxPeak HPS Technology, which is designed to increase analyte recovery, sensitivity, and reproducibility by minimizing analyte/surface interactions that can lead to sample losses.
XBridge Premier Columns are the evolution of Waters XBridge XP (eXtended Performance) columns and XBridge HPLC columns, and they combine the industry-leading column stability of Ethylene Bridged Hybrid (BEH) particles with MaxPeak High Performance Surfaces (HPS) Technology.
XBridge Columns are available in a broad range of sorbent particles and sizes for HPLC, UHPLC.

Mechanical strength and chemical stability
Ethylene Bridged Hybrid (BEH) particle technology ensures maximum column performance and longer column lifetimes under all chromatographic conditions. The hybrid particle technology offers many advantages over conventional silica-based particles, including the ability to control silanol activity for better reproducibility, peak shape, and efficiency. The BEH particle is created from two high purity monomers: tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and bis(triethoxysilyl) ethane (BTEE), which results in highly stable, mechanically strong particles that set the performance standard for method development.
Cost-effective column protection
VanGuard FIT (Fully Integrated Technology) Guard Columns provide an easy-to-use format that extends the life of your column without sacrificing performance. They thread directly into a FIT column that has been precisely machined to integrate them into the column flow path, eliminating excess volumes. This easy-to-install design does not require ferrules or other small parts.
*XBridge Premier VanGuard FIT Columns are required for use with the XBridge Premier VanGuard FIT Guard Columns, as this is an integrated design requiring the two to thread together.
Stay compliant with smart column options
Ideal for compliant laboratories, smart column options are available for identifying and tracking column information. The eCord is a data recording device which is permanently attached to the column body of 2.x µm particle size (2.1 and 3.0 mm internal diameter) and ACQUITY UPLC columns and is standard for those column offerings. Rather, the eConnect column tag is a permanently attached electronic tag device for HPLC columns (≥ 2.x µm particles) used with Alliance iS and Alliance iS Bio HPLC Systems that are optional. Data from column devices (eCord device or eConnect column tag) can be accessed using the respective system’s console. These smart-column abilities provide a quick overview of column history and can be utilized as a basic troubleshooting tool. Data residing on these devices are automatically imported by and later searchable via Empower CDS.
