Why Emma Loves Life at Waters
What do you do at Waters daily?
Each day my role involves leading, supporting, and developing our teams within SPE to ensure we meet our goals and keep on schedule. My team manufactures 100% of Waters solid phase extraction products. We liaise closely with our quality department to ensure incoming raw materials are inspected, our Quality Management System is effective, and all products manufactured are of the highest standard. My role sees this process from beginning to end.
What keeps you motivated and excited about working at Waters?
I love that each day is different, with its own challenges and successes. I work with an excellent team that makes decisions together and supports one another to reach our goals.
Why would you encourage someone to join Waters?
I would encourage prospective candidates to join Waters because of the way the company looks after their employees, and how they promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Each employee is deeply valued and aware of how their individual objectives feed into the global strategy. At Waters, there is excellent recognition for individual and team successes.
In my current role, I still have a lot to learn, but the support I have from my leadership team is excellent. All the managers within the chemistry department are supportive of my decisions and are eager for me to be successful.
How would you describe the culture at Waters? What’s it like to work here day to day?
While our facility is growing continuously, one thing remains the same - we still operate at a very personal level. When challenges arise outside of work, Waters supports their employees as much as possible. In my experience, managers have always supported me and made time to listen even with their own busy schedules.
