Supporting the educational journey of the next generation of STEM professionals

Supporting the educational journey of the next generation of STEM professionals

At Waters, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education is close to our hearts. It’s what we do and it’s a core part of who we are as a company. We’re committed to investing in our future STEM professionals by creating educational opportunities for elementary, middle, and high school students. Through our STEM Ambassador program, Waters employees are able to share their talents and expertise with the next generation, encouraging them to explore their interests in STEM career paths.

The STEM Ambassadors Curriculum

The STEM Ambassadors are Waters employees who developed a targeted curriculum to get children interested and excited about STEM initiatives both in the classroom and in their community. Through the creation of STEM kits, a set of individual experiments utilizing common household supplies and easy to follow instructions, employees engage with students at schools, clubs, and events through education, exposure, and experience.

Each kit includes basic instructions and experiments designed to teach complex concepts and technologies in understandable ways. Whether the kits identify pH levels in red cabbage, or teach the basics of density, the kits allow for students of all ages to learn about science from anywhere.
